Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Hoffman Property Technologies ("HPT," "we," or "us") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information through hoffmanpt.com and the HPT Operations app.
Information we collect
Depending on how you use HPT, we may collect:
- identity, business, and contact information;
- account, role, organization, and authentication information;
- property, unit, scope, work-order, approval, and service records;
- photos, documents, credentials, insurance records, and support communications;
- location information when you expressly permit a location-enabled workflow;
- device, browser, diagnostic, security, and usage information; and
- transaction and payment-related records if payment features are enabled.
How we use information
We use information to provide and secure accounts; qualify Service Professionals; create, assign, document, review, and support work; communicate with users; maintain business and compliance records; prevent misuse; improve HPT; and meet legal obligations.
How we disclose information
We may disclose information to authorized organizations and users involved in a service, to vendors that host or support HPT, to professional advisers, when required by law, or in connection with a business transaction. Service providers may use information only to perform services for HPT under applicable obligations. HPT does not sell personal information for money.
Cookies, local storage, and analytics
HPT uses only strictly necessary browser storage by default. That storage keeps you signed in, preserves your active organization and role, protects the session against misuse, and remembers the cookie choice described below. It cannot be switched off while you use the platform, because the platform cannot operate securely without it.
No analytics, advertising, or marketing tag is present in HPT today. We load no third-party measurement, advertising, or session-recording script on this website or in the HPT Operations app. Two optional categories exist in our consent control so that any future use is gated rather than retrofitted:
- Analytics (optional). Purpose: understanding how pages and workflows are used so we can improve them. Off unless you affirmatively turn it on.
- Marketing (optional). Purpose: measuring which campaigns bring people to HPT. Off unless you affirmatively turn it on.
Optional categories remain disabled until you make an affirmative choice. An absent, unreadable, or outdated stored choice is treated as "strictly necessary only," so optional storage is never enabled by default, by inaction, or by error.
Changing or withdrawing your choice
Select Cookie choices in the footer of any page, or in the footer of the signed-in platform, at any time. The control reopens the same consent panel, shows your saved choice, and lets you accept optional categories, change one category, or turn all optional categories off. Withdrawal takes effect immediately and re-blocks every optional category.
Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, or the legacy Do Not Track signal, HPT treats optional analytics and marketing as off. The optional controls are shown as unavailable, an earlier optional opt-in is overridden for as long as the signal is sent, and accepting optional categories cannot override it.
What is stored, and for how long
Your cookie choice is recorded in your own browser's local storage under a single versioned entry that holds the categories you selected, the date and time of the choice, whether a Global Privacy Control signal applied, and the version of the choice format. It contains no name, email address, account identifier, advertising identifier, or profile. It stays in your browser until you change your choice or clear your browser storage, and a choice recorded under an older format version is discarded and treated as strictly necessary only. Authentication and security storage lasts for the life of your session or as required to keep your account secure.
Questions and review
Questions about cookies or this section may be sent to business@hoffmanpt.com. This section describes HPT's current implementation and is approved by HPT's Executive for operational use as-is. That approval does not itself represent or certify review by a licensed North Carolina attorney.
Location, camera, photos, and notifications
HPT requests device permissions only when a feature needs them—for example, documenting work with the camera or photo library, recording an authorized check-in, or delivering operational notifications. You may manage permissions in your device settings, although disabling one may limit the related feature.
Security and retention
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No system is completely secure. We retain information for as long as needed for the purposes described here, including account administration, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, contractual commitments, and legal or recordkeeping requirements.
Your choices and account deletion
You may update certain account information in HPT and manage device permissions in your settings. Signed-in users may start an account-deletion request from Account & privacy. See our account-deletion instructions. We may retain limited records when law, security, fraud-prevention, dispute, tax, insurance, or contractual requirements require it; retained information is restricted accordingly.
Children
HPT is a business operations service and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as HPT changes. We will post the revised policy with a new effective date and provide additional notice when appropriate.
